Sweet Pea Collection by Caldrea

We use Caldrea cleaning and personal care products in both the kitchen, the bath and in the laundry. I love them because their fragrances are sublime. I wonder if I was a "nose" in a former life, given my eccentricity about smell.

Caldrea has a special collection just for wee ones. The Sweet Pea fragrance is a blend of geranium, orange, jasmine, coriander, rose and bergamot. Wow, sounds like that combination could overpower just about any odor your kid can through at.

Wee Gallery Animal Prints

I've already posted about the benefits of black and white imagery for newborns so I won't go on about the science again. What I didn't post about was that it actually works!

As an infant, Jude did some serious gaze time when I would prop up high contrast images around his bassinette. He even had personal preferences!

What I love about these flash-card style prints is that they allow you to assemble your own rotating gallery. The artwork is sure to please budding art critics.

Ok, I realize that by reading my blog, you now know some very odd things about me. I love squirrels, tattoo art and accordians, not necessarily in that order.

Mike and I are voracious readers, but Jude has taken the love of books to an entirely different level. His bookshelf is overflowing and the nightstand is heaped. We have cultivated an obsession.

I couldn't believe that this charming book is in the bargin bin at Amazon. Jude BEGS me to read this to him every night. He actually knows when I skip parts of the story.,, Don't act like you don't do that from time to time, OK?

Green Checkerboard Vans

It's nearly impossible for me not to laugh when I see these shoes. I have about the same level of nostalgia for Vans that I do for Chucks.

I'm old enough to remember the days when Sean Penn was best known for his turn as Jeff Spicoli, the surfer dude in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High". He single-handedly turned Middle America on to L.A. beach fashion when he wore these now-classic shoes.

This saucy green version of the slip-ons have me dreaming of summer on the beach with Jude. They've also loosened some of those Spicolisms from the cobwebs of my brain:
