Jude's first word was "blue". He has since progressed to more exotic varieties such as fushia, teal and navy. His aptitude borders on circus-freakishness.
In my role as supportive mom, I've taken steps to encourage the little savant. One of those steps was gettting "Priscilla and the Pink Planet" by the brother and sister team of Nathaniel and Jocelyn Hobbie.
Not only does this book appeal to his color sense, I'm able to sneak in a little message about the beauty of diversity. I'm afraid I enjoy the treachery of parenthood a little TOO much!
