I couldn't resist even though this particular blog entry is a little too grown up for Jude right now. These precious Hagen Renaker miniatures teleported me back to my early childhood.
When I was a wee one, staying overnight at my grandma's meant several thing were going to happen:
1) I would get to eat and drink all the Pepperidge Farm Lido cookies and chocolate milk I wanted.
2) I got to ride in the FRONT seat of my Grandma's sassy yellow sportscar. Obviously, I lived through this dangerous era in automotive travel: No airbags, no car seats, no seat belts, no hassles!
3)If Grandpa was traveling on business, I got to sleep with Grandma in the ginormous king-sized bed. This was where I learned about my dad's early juvenile delinquencies, such as setting the yard on fire.
But best of all, a visit usually culminated in getting a new Hagen Renaker miniature for my collection. The same part of my brain that felt a surge of excitement as a kid was re-activated today when I found this owl and deer set online.
So, so, so many thanks to Miniminimarket for reminding me of a really great time in my life! Available at their site.

Oh, sweet memories.
I was a sucker for the dogs http://www.dollclothesstore.com/HAGEN_RENAKER/Dog_Figurines.htm
My sister was hooked on horses: http://www.dollclothesstore.com/HAGEN_RENAKER/Miniature_Horse_Figurines_1.htm
