We are attempting to be Love & Logic parents. For those of you unfamiliar with this parenting philosophy, one of the tenets is offering your child simple choices. Choices until you are blue in the face.
One small success so far has been with toothbrushing. We invested in two different toothbrushes and 3 fun flavors of toothpaste. Amazingly, this small expenditure has pretty much eliminated our conflicts. When Jude gets to choose his torture device, he forgets that he actually hates to brush his teeth.
When I saw these wacky monster plates yesterday, I knew they had some serious potential as the cure for our meal time blues. I'm hoping Jude will be so mesmerized by the choice of quirky colors and designs that he will eat anything I put before him.
Obedience through hypnosis... what a concept.
Available at Sparkability.
We are "Love and Logic" people too. ... Although I think we need a remedial course. She still won't wash her hair. Ug.

Siobhan- We were having the same issue. I bought two of those little foam visors that protect Jude's face from water. He gets to pick whether he wants to wear the orange one or blue one. I think the choice short-circuits his little brain because always seems to forget about the shampooing that follows.
